Hi Everyone
We are on a 6 week trip of a lifetime visiting Singapore (2 nights), Perth (5 nights), Melbourne (4 nights), touring the South and then the North Islands of New Zealand for nearly a month, finishing with 3 nights in Hong Kong.
A wonderful opportunity to take photographs of so many contrasting cultures and landscapes. We would like to share a selection of images we have taken along the way on our Nikon D7000 and D800 cameras. We hope you enjoy them and continue to follow us on our adventures.
(The most recent post will be the first you will see so by working backwards and through the 'older posts' you will get to the beginning of the trip. Posts will be added when we get the selected images processed and internet access).

Bruce Lee, Avenue of Stars, Kowloon Waterfront

At Kowloon waterfront is the Avenue of Stars that resembles the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the Chinese Theatre. All the major Asian actors hand prints are featured and Bruce Lee is commemorated in a statue. I tried to get Alan the karate expert to strike a similar pose beside him but he was too shy.

This is what we saw. Low lying cloud and mist put a whole new complexion on the view. It was unfortunate that at the time of our visit, Hong Kong was between seasons where low cloud is common along with periods of rain. The latter was preparation for us coming back to Scotland although it was warm.

The Peak is one of the best places to view the skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island. We were taken up a windy road to the top of the peak which is reached by road, on foot (if your fit or stupid!) or the most popular form of transport is by tram. We went down hill on the tram and we wondered why the seats were facing the wrong way - it was so steep that...

Lamborghini Cows, Stanely Plaza, Hong Kong Island

These lifesize cows were part of the cow parade on display in Stanely Plaza, which is an upmarket shopping centre, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini. Why did they use cows? Don't know but as you can see the middle cow has two lamborghini doors as wings. A cow with wings? It's called modern art.
