Hi Everyone

We are on a 6 week trip of a lifetime visiting Singapore (2 nights), Perth (5 nights), Melbourne (4 nights), touring the South and then the North Islands of New Zealand for nearly a month, finishing with 3 nights in Hong Kong.

A wonderful opportunity to take photographs of so many contrasting cultures and landscapes. We would like to share a selection of images we have taken along the way on our Nikon D7000 and D800 cameras. We hope you enjoy them and continue to follow us on our adventures.

(The most recent post will be the first you will see so by working backwards and through the 'older posts' you will get to the beginning of the trip. Posts will be added when we get the selected images processed and internet access).

Hilary's Boat Harbour

The red tiled roofs you can see at the back belong to the shops and restaurants in a resort called Hilary's Boat Harbour. Everywhere you looked there were boats, hundreds of them.

We picked up a hire car for the last two days in Perth and went 'driveabout'. You know how Alan likes photographing piers well expect to see more like this when we go to New Zealand. It was certainly a lot warmer than when he took his famous photograph of Portencross Pier at West Kilbride.

We couldn't leave Fremantle without trying out their fish and chips at the no.1 location. It was certainly very good but whether the fish supper was quite as good as Dominic's beside Renfrew Town Hall, well that is debatable.

Silvana and family

James and Luise, Silvana's daughter, who live in Fremantle, along with Silvana. After the golf we had a lovely barbecued lunch at James and Luise's beautiful new home and then they took us on a tour of Fremantle. Thank you again for all your hospitality and our best wishes for the arrival of your baby in July.

Fremantle, or Freo to the locals, is a suburb of Perth and is full of character with old style shop fronts, churches, markets and a few well known microbrewery's. We partook of a small refreshment in one such brewery called 'Little Creatures' down at the harbour front.
