Hi Everyone

We are on a 6 week trip of a lifetime visiting Singapore (2 nights), Perth (5 nights), Melbourne (4 nights), touring the South and then the North Islands of New Zealand for nearly a month, finishing with 3 nights in Hong Kong.

A wonderful opportunity to take photographs of so many contrasting cultures and landscapes. We would like to share a selection of images we have taken along the way on our Nikon D7000 and D800 cameras. We hope you enjoy them and continue to follow us on our adventures.

(The most recent post will be the first you will see so by working backwards and through the 'older posts' you will get to the beginning of the trip. Posts will be added when we get the selected images processed and internet access).

Typical of the neat rows of grapevines in the famous Marlborough Wine Region, which produces about ¾’s of NZ’s wine. Wine tours with tastings is a popular tourist activity and most of the larger wineries have café/restaurants.

Old Sneakers Fence on the way to Picton

NZ is rather quirky so nothing surprises you. We had to stop on the way to Picton when we saw this fence decorated with about 100 old pairs of sneakers. Why was it like this? Don’t know but it made for a good photograph.

This old fire engine was parked outside the fire station at the wharf where the reception was taking place. Most of the rural fire stations are run by volunteers. I hope there wasn’t a fire that night.

This small town is about 30 minutes drive from Nelson and the wharf area has some lovely cafes/restaurants and galleries selling the work of predominantly local artists and jewellery makers.
